SU LaunchLab is pleased to welcome three new team members, further strengthening its ability to support entrepreneurs, innovators, and the broader Stellenbosch ecosystem.

Elijah Djan joined as an Incubation Programme Officer, where he will lead incubation programmes designed to support student and researcher-led ventures. Drawing on his own entrepreneurial experience, Elijah will help founders navigate the journey from idea validation to building scalable, investment-ready businesses.

Hanli Brink has joined LaunchLab as an Enterprise Development Officer, while continuing her work with Stellenbosch Network. In her new role, she will focus on identifying and supporting investment opportunities arising from student entrepreneurs and the wider Stellenbosch community. Her work will also contribute to strengthening Stellenbosch University’s Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) initiatives and fostering stronger connections between innovators, industry, and investors.

Joining the operations team is Tass-Lee Smith, who takes on the role of Receptionist. As the first point of contact for many visitors, entrepreneurs, and partners, Tass-Lee will play an important role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the day-to-day operations of LaunchLab.

These appointments reflect LaunchLab’s continued commitment to growing its impact by expanding the support available to founders, researchers, and the wider innovation ecosystem. Together, the new team members bring complementary expertise that will enhance venture development, strengthen industry and investment engagement, and contribute to a thriving culture of entrepreneurship at SU.
